Alaska Podshow

I’ve decided to devote a whole page to my blog for the podshow.

I’ve been watching and listening to the Alaska Podshow for well over two years.  Around the time Sean and I were planning on moving back to Alaska… I was hungry for more info (even though I’d already lived here) and wanted to get my finger on the pulse of what was going on. Scott Slone helped out with that through is popular audio cast on www.alaskapodshow.com.  The show has segued into a wonderful video cast, on everything from essential hikes, to places you might not expect to see.

Subscribe, tune in, and donate a few bucks if you have it.

Cheers!

Turkey Red - Some Alaskana

http://www.turkeyredak.com/

Well I live in Alaska, so I guess from time to time I should recommend some Alaskan businesses. :)

Turkey Red in Palmer Alaska, really really awesome food. Fresh baked breads and baked goods, and really cute atmosphere. If you want a delicious sandwich, soup or anything else on the menu, I highly recommend it!

I had the Mushroom Rigatoni. The mushrooms were sauteed in something delicious, that included orange peel, which sounds different, but tastes phenomenal. The cream sauce was tasty, but not GREASY.  You know the kind I’m talking about… eww. The noodles were al dente and yummy.  The portion size was good for the price, and I ended up taking 1/2 home, and eating it later with some of their yummy sour dough bread.
