My flight from la to anchorage is coming to an end. Within the hour we will touchdown, I can already tell we’ve begun our descent.
Below my window I can make out the texture of the ocean stretching into the vast darkness. We’ve been chasing the sun, and it is still faint red yellow and blue on the far northwestern horizon.
I’m filled with many emotions on this return to the place I call home. I had a really great vacation, thanks to my friend Mark, who was kind enough to fund my flight and many delicious meals. My favorite being my birthday dinner in vegas, sitting right in the middle of my two best friends. If I don’t mention it often enough, I’m so blessed to have these two men in my my life. I’m lucky.
The white mountains are melting into spring, and anchorage is below us with an oasis of light. Until next time.
