I hear what you are saying about VPs usually appearing to not have much power or influence, so what does it matter if she is qualified or not? But regardless of the realities of the job of VP, here’s what we know about the reality of John McCain: 1) He is the oldest person ever to run for president. 2) He has had cancer four times. 3) He has extended war injuries. 4) Statistically, the chances of a healthy, non war-injured, man living to 80 are less than one in three.

Regardless of how tough you think Sarah Palin is, that alone does not qualify you to be the leader of this country, which as we all know by now, has repercussions for the rest of the world as well. Several nonpartisan websites have declared her the least qualified VP in history. Do you really want her to become the least qualified President in history, while we are in the middle of a failing war and economic depression?

Hi Laura - just wanted to say thanks for dropping by and commenting on my blog. It’s great to have the Alaskan point of view in this race, especially regarding Palin. She is one awesome lady. There is going to be a barrage of attacks coming at her - and it’s always great to hear the real story from the people who know her!

I believe as you do…corrupt political system and am hoping for somebody not bought and sold to take the reins. I had little hope in any of the candidates but have to say, I felt a lot of hope for the first time during all of this when I heard who McCain picked from what I’ve read of her. I look forward to hearing more about here here and am going to subscribe so I don’t miss it. I really want to learn more about who she is.
