So, what the f*** is that? It’s a hard boiled egg, inside a meatball.
Are your gag reflexes kicking in yet? Imagine to your delight and amazement, biting into one of these bad boys. Thinking you’re only getting a giant meatball? Think again! It’s an EGG! Just in time for Easter too, what a fun surprise! I think the only thing that would’ve made this better, is if a chocolate bunny had been nestled inside the egg yolk. Or maybe the pastel colored egg shell left in tact, for an extra crunchy treat! Now THAT would be a culinary masterpiece!
Turducken’s beware, you may have met your match!

Blech! How could they ruin a perfectly good meatball with a boiled egg?

My neighbour is Scottish (’Sco’ish’) and she makes them all the time - the other’s are right - they’re Scotch eggs. Weird at first, but we love them now!

Ewww! It has a name!
Would be great for an Atkins follower, not so great for veggies or vegans!

It’s called a scotch egg. Sausage around a hard boiled egg, breaded and deep fried, or you can not bread them and just bake them instead. Either way, they’re actually quite good!

If it’s what I think, a scotch egg, it’s sausage meat round the outside, not ground beef, and delicious! Usually eaten cold.

Luckily I wans’t faced with the decision of trying it! My friend Sean (www.seanmormelo.com) is on a cruise ship, and this is what they serve the crew. Ewww.
I just had to blog about it, because it’s the grossest food I’ve seen in awhile!
