“Love is not a pie.”
I heard that quote yesterday, and wanted to blog it. I think it sums up perfectly, how it is possible to love all your children fully and equally. How you’re able to love friends and family… all at the same time. Yeah yeah, I might be bordering on hokey here, didn’t mean for it to sound that way… It was just something that stuck with me, so I wanted to pass it on.
A lot of people spend their lives trying to please someone, a family member, a boyfriend, girlfriend, husband or wife. Sister, brother, mother. Trying to get a bigger piece of pie. Thinking that there is 100%, that needs to be divided up accordingly. The reality is, it doesn’t work that way. It’s possible to love everyone with a full pie. ![]()

I agree, love is not a pie. I love all my dogs as much as I can.. and there’s no less love for all of them.
